In this episode of Nation Tonight, anchor Nivedhana Prabhu will delve into the poor air quality of Delhi. Delhi and its neighboring areas have once again claimed the unenviable title of being the most polluted cities in the country. The recent drop in temperatures across North India, coupled with the practice of stubble burning in Punjab, has exacerbated the already dire air quality situation. Every year, as October rolls around, a combination of factors contribute to the deterioration of Delhi's air quality, with stubble burning and colder weather playing significant roles. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), a statutory institution under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, releases daily Air Quality Index (AQI) data. According to the latest AQI, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Delhi, and Noida are among the most polluted cities in the country, with alarming AQI readings. The guest of today's episode Dr Neville Mehta, former CEO of Mumai First said that "Unfortunately in India, people wake up only after the problem is at the door."
