Artificial Rain To Save Delhi, IIT Kanpur Submits Report To Curb Air Pollution In National Capital

Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur to create artificial rain through cloud seeding in Delhi The AI rain can save Delhi from rising air quality. The Government of Delhi and the center have gotten in touch with an IIT professor, and Mirror Now discusses the solution to bring down the pollution.

He said, It's a temporary solution because when you do seeding and you need clouds in order to do that, it can bring down the pollution level substantially. But until the sources are controlled, the pollution will rise again.

He also explained how cloud seeding works. He said, We spray a mixture of salt or various kinds of salt into the cloud, and each of the mixtures that I'm talking about is ground very fine. So each salt particle is a few micrometers. When it goes into the cloud, the cloud needs to have a certain amount of moisture in it. So then the water starts condensing around each of these particles, and at once it condenses, the whole droplet becomes weighty, and then it falls. So therefore, a precondition for doing cloud sitting is the presence of clouds with a reasonable amount of moisture in them.
