The Preamble of the Constitution should be written on classroom walls and epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata should be included in textbooks, according to a high-level committee chaired by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) to review the social science curriculum. This recommendation was made on Tuesday by committee chairperson CI Isaac. The 19-member National Syllabus and Teaching Learning Material Committee (NSTC), which was announced in July to complete the curriculum, textbooks, and learning materials for these classes, may now take the committee's suggestion into consideration.
