This comes just after an aide of the former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh was elected to the top post. The 2016 Rio Olympics bronze medallist announced quitting wrestling following Sanjay Singh being elected as president of WFI. Sanjay Singh is a long-time aide of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who was WFI chief for 12 years. The country's top wrestlers expressed their anguish at the results.
