In December 2016, Prime Minister Modi lay the foundation stone of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri—Nhava Sheva Atal Setu. The trip from Sewri in south Mumbai to Nhava Sheva in Navi Mumbai would take only 15 to 20 minutes thanks to the sea bridge. Currently, the trip takes two hours.
