1:04Now PlayingTop News | In accordance with the two-week limit established by the Supreme Court on January 8, eleven inmates in the Bilkis Bano case turned themselves in to the Godhra jail officials late on Sunday night. On August 15, 2022, the Gujarat government had given the prisoners remission and premature release; however, the court had nullified that decision. The majority of the prisoners arrived in a 10-seater multipurpose vehicle driven by an SUV; the two vehicles entered the jail complex within minutes of one another. District police officials attested to have "tracked and escorted" each of the eleven suspects inside the jail's grounds.
