Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's plan to visit the Batadrava Than in Assam on Monday as part of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra was foiled by barricades and police intervention. Despite being halted, Rahul, along with other leaders, including Jairam Ramesh, Supriya Shrinate, Gaurav Gogoi, and Kanhaiya Kumar, engaged with supporters. The convoy remained stuck for over two hours, with Rahul sitting on the road surrounded by supporters singing 'Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram.' The Than management committee had earlier informed that entry wouldn't be allowed before 3 pm due to the Ram Mandir consecration in Ayodhya. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma suggested Rahul visit the shrine after the Ayodhya program, not in the morning.
