1:13Now PlayingBreaking News: Sanjay Singh, the president of the suspended Wrestling Federation of India, was threatened with legal action by the Sports Ministry on Tuesday for his "completely baseless and mischievous" claims that the WFI is government-recognized. The ministry also reaffirmed that any event hosted by the WFI will be viewed as "unsanctioned." Sanjay Singh made a statement last Saturday indicating that about 700 grapplers would compete in the Senior National Championship in Pune from January 29–31. This statement did not sit well with the ministry, which suspended the national federation for breaking its own constitution only three days after its new body was formed.
