The apex court noted that the eight invalidated ballots had votes cast in favour of Aam Aadmi Party's candidate Kuldeep Kumar.
Bench comprising the Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, along with justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra, was hearing the petition filed by the AAP's Kumar who alleged electoral malpractices by the returning officer Anil Masih.
