They claimed that under section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the two residential properties in the Handwara neighborhood of the north Kashmir district were attached. According to the officials, the issue has to do with how the Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operating in the Handwara-Kupwara region used the earnings of illegal drugs to finance their terrorist activities.
