As of yet, no formal confirmation of the matter has been obtained. The suspension resulted from a complaint brought before the Calcutta high court by the Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) regarding the naming of the animals that were transferred as part of an exchange programme from Tripura's Sepahijala Zoological Park to North Bengal's North Bengal Wild Animals Park in Siliguri on February 12.
