The list is expected to approve candidates, including Rahul Gandhi of Wayanad, Kerala, according to the party's Central Election Committee (CEC), which met for the first time on Thursday, March 7, in the nation's capital. Party chairman Mallikarjun Kharge presided the CEC meeting, which was attended by Sonia Gandhi and other key figures. From Gujarat, Rahul Gandhi participated electronically at the conference. The names of eleven Karnataka candidates have also been cleared by the CEC, which will meet again on Monday.
