1:43Now PlayingA 21-year-old woman passed away from rabies at CPR Hospital late Monday night, more than a month after being bitten by a stray dog and three days after completing her anti-rabies vaccination course. The incident occurred when the dog bit around 20 people, including her, between KMC Chowk and Bhausingji Road on Feb 3. Dr. Shishir Mirgunde, medical superintendent of CPR Hospital, confirmed that Srushti Shinde had received all five doses of the rabies vaccine (ARV) and an anti-rabies serum injection for passive immunity from the state-run hospital.
