Wangchuk had been subsisting on salt and water for the past 21 days. The reformer, whose life served as the inspiration for Phsukh Wangdu in the 2009 movie "3 Idiots," had said that his fast would last for 21 days and may be "extendable till death" when he had started it on March 6. When Wangchuk broke his fast, 7,000 people showed there, he claimed in a post on X. "I'll be back... Today, 7,000 people came together. My first leg of the fast was coming to a close.
