Top News | Just 20% of the environmental compensation and environment protection fee that have been collected thus far have been used by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) to mitigate air pollution in Delhi-NCR and safeguard the environment. The environment protection charge (EPC) and environmental compensation (EC) are the two main categories under which the CPCB is compensated. Only Rs 156.33 of the total Rs 777.69 crore received under the two sections has been distributed by the government pollution control agency, according to a CPCB report that was presented to the National Green Tribunal on March 20.
