The federal agency had already requested an interview with the 49-year-old head of the Trinamool Congress. In the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, Moitra, who was dismissed from the Lok Sabha in December due to "unethical conduct," has been renominated by her party from the Krishnanagar seat in West Bengal. After anti-corruption ombudsman Lokpal ordered the federal agency to look into the accusations made against her by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) searched her home in relation to the cash-for-query issue on Saturday.
