Instead, it recommended using electronic machines for tallying votes and adding barcodes to voting slips. The court specified that candidates can request verification of EVM microcontrollers within 7 days of poll results by paying fees. If tampering is detected, candidates will receive a refund. Additionally, the Supreme Court permitted verification of EVM microcontrollers by the manufacturer upon request from second or third-place candidates after the poll results.
