Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla presented citizenship certificates to the first 14 individuals in New Delhi, whose applications were processed online through a designated portal, according to an official spokesperson. Bhalla congratulated the applicants and outlined the key aspects of the Citizenship (Amendment) Rules, 2024 during the citizenship grant. "Today itself in Delhi 300 people are being given citizenship under CAA. CAA is the country's law," stated Home Minister Amit Shah to a media agency.
