29:25Now PlayingIn this edition of South Speaks, anchor Deepak discusses A controversy that has emerged as the CPI(M) Kannur district committee plans to construct a memorial for two party workers who died while making crude bombs. A poster announcing the "Martyrs Memorial" inauguration by CPI(M) state secretary MV Govindan on May 22 has sparked the issue. The incident dates back to June 6, 2015, when the workers died in an explosion at Chettakandi in Kolavalloor. A panel of experts has joined Deepak to discuss this in detail. Political Analyst Mithun Vijay Kumar questions “Why CPI(M) is in a hurry to celebrate them as martyrs?” Watch the full discussion to know more and follow Mirror Now for the latest updates.
