Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Chandigarh have been experiencing oppressive heat for several days. Najafgarh in Delhi recorded the country's highest temperature at 47.8°C, which is 7°C above normal, while Mungeshpur was slightly lower at 47.7°C. Rajasthan is enduring extreme heat with temperatures between 45°C and 47°C, and Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi are also experiencing scorching temperatures between 44°C and 45°C.
