The India Meteorological Department issued a warning in the coastal area against the Cyclone named ‘Remal’. Gusty winds and overcast weather were witnessed in South 24 Parganas’ Sundarbans area. The cyclone is expected to be accompanied by extremely heavy rainfall and strong winds in West Bengal. Notably, IMD said that the current warning for Cyclone Remal is in effect until May 28, but it may be extended if the situation requires.
