The Indigenous Tribes Advocacy Committee (ITAC) blamed the Meitei group Arambai Tenggol and demanded arrests and 24/7 protection for specific areas, including Kalinagar. ITAC reported the burning of 45 homes and a church, the kidnapping of a man, and accused Arambai Tenggol of inciting violence. Hundreds sought refuge in Assam.
