Swiss Peace Summit | India abstained from signing the joint communique on Ukraine at a peace summit in Switzerland after Russia chose not to attend, dismissing it as a "waste of time." Represented by Secretary (West) in the MEA, Pavan Kapoor, India aimed to explore pathways for a negotiated settlement and called for “sincere and practical engagement” between Moscow and Kyiv. The summit saw delegates from over 100 countries, with 83 signing the communique. India, along with Indonesia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa, abstained. Watch the video for more.
