These families have been homeless in their own home district since 1990.
According to local residents, in the 1990s, when militancy was at its peak in Kashmir, the villages suffered significant damage, traumatising its residents and eventually forcing them to leave their homes from Shamthan and Gori Hajin villages in Bandipora.
