Bhaker secured the medal with a score of 221.7, marking a triumphant return after a pistol malfunction in the Tokyo Olympics. She was the first Indian woman in 20 years to reach an individual shooting final at the Olympics, following in the footsteps of Suma Shirur in 2004. South Korea's Ye Jin took gold with an Olympic record score of 243.2 points, while Kim Yeji won silver with 241.3 points. Bhaker had earlier qualified for the final by finishing third in the qualification round, while Rhythm Sangwan finished 15th and failed to advance.
