Dec 19, 20244:09Now PlayingOn December 18, a tragic collision near Mumbai Harbour led to the deaths of 13 people when a Navy speedboat collided with the Neelkamal ferry, causing it to capsize. The ferry, carrying around 110 passengers, including 20 children, was en route to Elephanta Caves when the accident occurred near Butcher Island at approximately 3:55 pm. A viral video showed the Navy speedboat speeding toward the ferry before crashing into it. Four Navy crew members died, and one was critically injured. The Indian Navy and Coast Guard launched swift rescue operations. The incident has led to investigations and charges against the speedboat driver for negligence.
