On January 16, Saif Ali Khan was stabbed during a burglary attempt at his Mumbai apartment. The attacker, identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, initially claimed to be from Kolkata, but police soon uncovered his true Bangladeshi nationality. After committing the crime, Fakir hid in a garden for two hours to evade capture. His fake identity was exposed when a school certificate, sent from his brother in Bangladesh, was found on his phone. The police arrested him three days later, and he is now in custody. Khan underwent a five-hour surgery and is recovering well.
