20:33Now PlayingThe Animal Welfare Board in Haryana has been instructed by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to look into the increasing number of dog bite cases in the state and provide a report on the steps taken to address the problem. The directive follows a news report that cited data that the Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying presented in the Lok Sabha. The report stated that there were approximately 21.95 lakh dog bite cases in 2024 alone, with five lakh of the victims being children. Additionally, 37 fatalities were reported.
