In a pointed message, Escudero appealed to his five colleagues—Senators Pimentel, Hontiveros, Poe, Binay, and Gatchalian—to revisit the language of the ruling.
The impeachment court, despite sending the articles back, issued a writ of summons to Duterte, giving her 10 non-extendible days to respond—a move Escudero says reaffirms jurisdiction.
