Estonia has begun installing metal gates and security barriers at the Narva border crossing with Russia, aiming to control vehicle flow and enhance security, national broadcaster ERR reported on Saturday. The checkpoint’s manager, Antti Eensalu, confirmed gates have already been erected on the bridge, while additional barricades are being placed on Peetri Square, Tuleviku Street, and the Russian-facing side. The move, he said, would allow officials to “close roads if necessary.”
