3:01Now PlayingThe flu season in Japan has arrived earlier than usual, with over 4,000 reported cases. The Japanese government has officially declared a nationwide flu epidemic as the virus spreads rapidly. According to the Ministry of Health, around 3,000 hospitals across the country reported a total of 4,030 flu cases during the week starting September 22. The highest number of cases were found in Okinawa, followed by Tokyo and Kagoshima. The swift spread, especially among children, has led to the closure of more than 100 schools, kindergartens, and childcare centers.
