3:55Now PlayingEight wagons of a goods train derailed late Saturday night in Bihar’s Jamui district, disrupting rail traffic on the busy Howrah–Patna–Delhi route. The accident occurred around 11.25 pm between Lahabon and Simultala stations under Eastern Railway’s Asansol division. No casualties were reported, but movement of nearly two dozen trains was affected overnight. Several express and passenger services were cancelled, rescheduled or diverted. Accident relief trains were rushed from Asansol, Madhupur and Jhajha, while restoration work began on a war footing. An inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause.
