The diplomat also claimed that Iran had attacked 'more Arab countries in the past 11 days than Israel has throughout its history'. Moreover, Danon defended Israel's conduct in the conflict, saying the country does not target civilians and focuses its operations on military infrastructure. It came after reports that the US was behind a school strike in Minab which killed at least 170, according to the Iranian side. Washington said it was investigating.
The US and Israel launched strikes on Iran on February 28. Tehran responded with strikes on Israel and US assets in the region, with explosions reported in countries right across the Gulf.
