4:22Now PlayingMexican president Claudia Sheinbaum said that 1,009 Mexicans have been repatriated from the Middle East amid the attack of the United States and Israel against Iran, during her regular press conference in Mexico City on Tuesday. Sheinbaum explained that the Mexican nationals affected by the US bombings and Tehran's response have been transported by land to countries with open airspace, from where they have later been able to travel back to Mexico. Sheinbaum added that the drop in oil prices mainly responded to the announcement by G7 authorities, who said they were "prepared" to release strategic reserves in case of emergency, as well as statements by US President Donald Trump, who said the war in the Middle East is "practically concluded."
