On Wednesday (Mar 25), Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem firmly rejected any talks, saying negotiations would amount to “surrender” for Lebanon. His remarks came after the Lebanese president attempted to initiate direct discussions between Hezbollah and Israel. Qassem also called on the Lebanese government to lift its ban on the group’s military operations.
