4:18Now PlayingHundreds of protesters marched outside the old US Embassy in The Hague on Saturday, rallying against the joint US-Israel military operation on Iran and Israel's ongoing strikes on Lebanon. Footage shows demonstrators chanting, holding Iranian, Lebanese and Palestinian flags and banners and placards reading, 'America commits crimes and Europe stands by in support! Shame on Trump and all those who remain silent!' and 'No war on children, murdered by the US & Israel'. The rally came as Iran and US delegations met in Islamabad for peace talks brokered by Pakistan, with Vice President JD Vance leading the American side and Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi representing Iran.
The talks ended without a deal after 21 hours, with Vance saying the US had left its 'final and best offer' on the table, which the Iranians 'have chosen not to accept'. On Wednesday, the United States and Iran announced a conditional two-week ceasefire, subject to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, ahead of a deadline set by President Donald Trump. Araghchi declared Iran's armed forces would halt 'defensive operations' if attacks on the country ceased.
