6:12Now PlayingA protest by factory workers demanding a salary hike turned violent in Noida’s Phase 2 industrial area, with clashes breaking out between protesters and police. Agitated workers vandalised vehicles, hurled stones and set cars on fire, prompting heavy police deployment and use of force to restore order. The unrest, driven by long-pending wage demands and pay disparity issues, disrupted traffic across key routes, leaving commuters stranded for hours. Authorities said multiple industrial workers had gathered for the protest, which escalated after tensions with officials. The incident highlights growing labour unrest in the region and raises concerns over worker grievances and law-and-order management.
