4:19Now PlayingRussia's Defence Ministry said on Wednesday that forces from its Southern Group had taken control of the settlement of Roskoshnoye in the Donetsk region, releasing footage and interviews with servicemen describing the operation. Russian soldiers said reconnaissance units, drone operators and assault teams worked together to identify and strike Ukrainian positions before advancing through the village in house-to-house fighting. Ukraine had not commented on the Russian claim at the time of publication but reported repelling several attacks in nearby areas. The footage and battlefield accounts could not be independently verified.
