3:41Now PlayingThe UK's long-running grooming gangs scandal has returned to the spotlight as authorities reopen historical child sexual exploitation cases under Operation Beaconport. The National Crime Agency has referred cases across multiple police force areas for fresh investigation, citing new lines of inquiry and potential opportunities to deliver justice for victims.
The review, Britain's largest examination of child exploitation cases, follows recommendations made by Louise Casey and includes hundreds of serious allegations. The issue remains politically sensitive, with Elon Musk and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer publicly clashing over how past cases were handled.
