Calling the allegations "incorrect and without any basis," the Army dismissed the reports as factually unfounded. The clarification followed widespread coverage of a memorandum submitted by the Nah Welfare Society (NWS) to the Deputy Commissioner of Upper Subansiri district, which alleged that the PLA had expanded its presence in the border region of Taksing in Arunachal Pradesh.
