2:09:19Now PlayingNEW YORK — In a historic, first-of-its-kind summer celebration, the iconic Times Square Ball is set to drop eight separate times to mark midnight in every American time zone for the United States' Semiquincentennial. The marathon countdown kicks off live from One Times Square on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. EDT (Chamorro Standard Time), marking midnight in the U.S. territories of Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Organized by America250 and led by Chair Rosie Rios, the 'Giving 4th Broadcast Benefit Show' transforms the traditional winter ritual into a 21-hour rolling nationwide party, culminating in American Samoa. Because the event is a closed-set broadcast with no public viewing areas in the streets of Times Square, viewers worldwide are tuning in online to watch the 12,350-pound Waterford Crystal Constellation Ball glow red, white, and blue, accompanied by patriotic confetti and performances by legendary artists to launch the nation's 250th birthday.
