3:43Now PlayingThe Houthis accused Saudi Arabia of carrying out the raids, according to the Houthi-run Saba news agency. The Houthi-run Foreign Ministry condemned the alleged attack on the civilian airport.
"The targeting by the Saudi enemy of Sanaa International Airport, a civilian facility, will not go unpunished," said the ministry in a statement. It also called the strikes a "flagrant violation of Yemen's sovereignty, stability, territorial integrity, the United Nations Charter, international law, and relevant international agreements." Houthi spokesperson Mohammed Abdulsalam said the attack marked a serious escalation.
"Without any justification whatsoever, the Saudi regime carried out several airstrikes on Sanaa International Airport in a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen and a major breach of the 2022 truce," said Abdulsalam. Saudi Arabia had not responded to the allegations yet.
