The two vessels are sailing with transponders on and broadcasting their links to China to ensure safe passage after Iran-backed Houthis said they targeted two Saudi-owned ships. One of those attacked, the tanker Encelia, began signaling a “not under command” status, indicating it may have lost maneuverability due to damage, according to ship-tracking data compiled by Bloomberg.
