Israel Slams Zohran Mamdani: UN Envoy Danon Accuses New York Mayor Of Spreading Hate | WATCH

Israel's UN ambassador Danny Danon criticised New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Tuesday over what he described as anti-Israel rhetoric, as he addressed Gaza, Hezbollah and future security scenarios.

Speaking in New York City, Danon said the Israeli cabinet had approved the initial entry of the International Stabilisation Force into Gaza, describing the move as an effort to create a humanitarian zone 'free of Hamas control'. Danon then turned his criticism towards Mamdani, accusing the mayor of encouraging hostility towards Israel.

"A mayor should unite the people of the city. He's doing exactly the opposite. He's spreading hate," Danon stressed, warning tensions could rise during the upcoming UN high-level week. The Israeli envoy linked Mamdani's comments to a recent stabbing attack against a Jewish man leaving a synagogue in Manhattan, saying the mayor's rhetoric was dangerous.
