Speaking at an event in Las Vegas, Trump claimed recent U.S. military operations had significantly weakened Iran and said a much larger strike had been planned before Iran allegedly sought negotiations. "I'd rather make a deal because I don't want to kill people," Trump said. He added that talks with Tehran are ongoing and insisted Iran now respects the United States because of Washington's tougher approach toward its nuclear programme.
