4:12Now PlayingRussia has reportedly built or expanded at least 10 drone bases along its western borders near Ukraine and Belarus, with a Telegraph investigation identifying 59 launch rails and around 20 extended rails believed capable of launching newer long-range, jet-powered drones. The reported Geran-4 and Geran-5 variants can carry up to a 90-kilogram warhead and potentially reach targets nearly 1,000 kilometres away, while one facility reportedly has storage capacity for more than 1,000 drones. Seven of the 10 identified sites have reportedly been used in recent attacks on Kyiv. Analysts warn the expanding infrastructure could eventually place parts of NATO, including Warsaw, within range, although there is no evidence in the investigation that Russia is preparing an attack on NATO.
