3:47Now PlayingFinland is preparing to deepen its defence cooperation with Ukraine through joint drone production, with Finnish President Alexander Stubb saying roughly 90% of drones produced under the planned arrangement could go to Ukrainian forces and 10% remain in Finland. The partnership, which is nearing finalisation, is expected to cover aerial drones as well as maritime unmanned systems and ground robotic platforms. The agreement would combine Ukrainian battlefield experience with Finnish technology and industrial capacity, while expanding Ukraine’s defence production beyond facilities vulnerable to Russian strikes. Stubb has also argued that Western countries should view cooperation with Ukraine as a two-way defence partnership rather than charity, saying Europe can learn from Ukraine’s combat experience.
