Alleged targets included NASA, the Justice Department, Federal Reserve, US Senate, Energy Department labs, NIH and HHS. US authorities seized domains linked to hacking platforms known as QScan and QTrout, which the DOJ linked to a Chinese company, Nanjing Xinjiuwei. Officials say the hacking campaign dates back to at least 2018 and targeted critical infrastructure worldwide. China has rejected the allegations, saying Washington is smearing Beijing and that it opposes cyberattacks.
