0:41Now PlayingAfter more than 250 days at sea, the USS Abraham Lincoln has finally docked in Thailand — ending one of the U.S. Navy’s longest uninterrupted deployments.
The massive aircraft carrier arrived in Thailand, carrying more than 5,000 American service members, after spending months supporting the U.S. war effort in the Middle East.
But the record-breaking deployment has raised serious concerns about the crew’s well-being. Reports point to worsening mental health, along with shortages of basic supplies — including food and hygiene products.
And the carrier itself appeared to show the strain. Large patches of what looked like rust were visible along the hull and flight deck.
