Russia Declares Ukraine Territories “Settled” In United Nations As Moscow Rejects UN Talks | WATCH

Russia told the United Nations General Assembly that Ukraine had killed 21 children and teenagers in a strike on a pedagogical college and dormitory in Starobelsk in the Luhansk People's Republic on May 22, calling it a concentrated expression of what it described as the inhuman policy of the Zelensky regime, while citing casualty figures claiming at least 30 civilians were killed across the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson regions and Crimea in the single week of August 17 to 23. Russian officials also cited strikes on passenger buses, including an August 26 attack on a bus on the Lisichansk-Stakhanov route killing nine civilians and injuring six, an August 22 attack on a city bus in Sevastopol killing two and injuring ten, and an August 18 strike on a bus stop in Energodar killing one person and seriously injuring three. The Russian representative described the situation in Russian-controlled territories as developing positively under Russian administration, citing the reconstruction of more than 25,000 facilities, the repair of over 8,000 kilometres of roads and the provision of federal social support to 2.4 million residents. Russia concluded by stating there could be no peaceful settlement of the Ukraine conflict while Kyiv continued to reject the choice of people in the disputed regions and refused to address what Moscow described as the root causes of the crisis.
